We were asked to carry out the full 5 year scheduled inspection and testing work.  This is now known as an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) whereas some of you might remember it being referred to as Periodic Inspection and Testing.

The work involved testing and inspection of every circuit in the building.. No small task.   We agreed a daily work schedule with the client to avoid disruption so everyone was clear about which areas we would be working on and which circuits would be affected. 

Most of our tasks were carried out during normal weekday hours, although some disruptive power down work was required to be completed out of hours. 

At the end of several days of testing and inspection we were pleased to find only a few minor items requiring improvement.  The installation work had previously been carried out by competent contractors, so it was in good general order. 

Following completion of the necessary remedial work, our engineers returned to site to carry out the required testing.

Techniserve were delighted to issue approved NICEIC Certification (EICR) for the fixed wiring electrical installation which can now be used to prove the safety of the installation and is often mandatory for insurance purposes.

A great result!  - valid for 5 Years!
